Kat Lenan
MSc. Sports and Exercise Medicine, BSc. (Hons) MCSP
I qualified with a BSc. in Physiotherapy from Cardiff University and, in 2012, completed an MSc in Sports Exercise Medicine at Cardiff Metropolitan. In addition, I also have further qualifications in Acupuncture, Mat Pilates, Strength and Conditioning (through the UK Strength and Conditioning Association) and ATMMIF (Advanced Trauma Medical Management in Football).
As well as working at The Cloisters, I currently also work for Coventry City Football Club, where I lead on long-term injured rehabilitation, seeing a wide range of injuries and conditions. From this, I have a particular interest in learning what a patient’s specific goals are, whether that be completing a marathon in your best time, or wanting to be able to get up and down the stairs repeatedly pain-free, and working on that goal together.
Previously, I have also worked for 10+ years in Premiership and United Rugby Championship clubs (Wasps, Ospreys and Dragons), and also dabbled in GB Para Snow Sports and Welsh Netball.
When I’m not busy treating people, I enjoy CrossFit and playing field hockey.
