Margaret Longbottom

Having qualified in Coventry in 1986 I initially worked in the NHS in London, specialising in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. I then took a postgraduate diploma in manipulative therapy and moved to Reading in 1995 where I took a senior position in the outpatient department at Reading Hospital. Here, whilst working alongside shoulder consultants in the orthopaedic clinic, I developed a special interest and gained expertise in the treatment of shoulder problems. I then moved into private practice in the Reading area. Since moving to Leamington Spa in 2008 I have worked primarily at The Cloisters, but I also worked part time for 10 years as a visiting tutor for Coventry University. This involved helping to support and assess physiotherapy students on their clinical placements.

My main areas of interest are still the treatment of shoulder problems and spinal pain.
