Sports Injury Clinic

We have a special interest and expertise in the treatment of Sports Injuries. Our clinic offers screening, treatment and rehabilitation which are undertaken in our well-equipped on-site Physiotherapy gym.

Following a detailed assessment of your condition, a clinical diagnosis will be made and an individually tailored treatment and exercise plan developed. Our aim, whether the injury is acute, repetitive or post-surgical, is to help you return to your chosen sport in the shortest possible time and to help you to achieve your maximum sporting potential.

Acute injuries such as ankle sprains, knee ligament injuries, groin strain, Achilles strain and muscle tears require specialist treatment techniques to promote tissue healing.

Our Specialist Physiotherapists also treat repetitive/overuse type injuries which are becoming all the more common due to our sedentary lifestyles. These injuries tend to develop over a period of time and can be annoyingly persistent. Injuries such as tennis elbow, Achilles tendinopathy, shin splints, recurring hamstring injury, and plantar fasciitis are just a few examples.

These types of sports injuries need a very specialist approach. The focus is more on establishing the cause of the injury in order to facilitate a speedy resolution. This may include a biomechanical assessment, which involves assessment of alignment, posture and gait and running analysis. Once the underlying cause of pain has been established a tailored treatment plan can be formulated.
