Tai Chi

Tai Chi was developed in China as a martial art in the 17th Century. There are several different forms of Tai Chi but the exercises we practice in the class are based on the Chi Kung style, known as Modified Tai Chi.

Tai Chi class - Leamington spa

Tai Chi is a form of gentle exercise using rhythmic patterns of movement to promote coordination, control, balance and strength. The exercises taught at The Cloisters are adapted from traditional Tai Chi to make them more accessible for everyone. Most of the exercises are done in a standing position however, if you find standing difficult it is possible to exercise in a chair.
